Beginning my career as a Network Technician and transitioning into a Network Engineer I am responsible for maintaining and administering our clients computer networks. My primary duties include the maintenance of their computer networks, hardware, software, and other related systems, performing disaster recovery operations, protecting data, software, and hardware from attacks, and replacing faulty network hardware components when necessary. To accomplish this I work closely both with my Pros 4 Technology team and with our clients to identify potential issues and find solutions to existing problems. This position to build within me a strong understanding of network infrastructures and various network equipment. It also continues to develop my skills in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network devices including WAPs, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers.
I collaborated with a great ministry at Crossroads and helped support their mission in reaching all of God's children. I worked with my direct supervisor planning out hardware, software, and consultation needs for their growing church staff. Part of my overall responsibilities was to implement and manage their servers, VoIP system, laptops and desktops, mobile devices, printers, software, online services, and licensing. I also maintained their LAN and WLAN network systems including routers, firewall, VPN, and remote access technologies. I also planned, implemented, and performed local and online data backup and restore operations. I would also provide staff members with documentation, training, and guidance on IT matters ranging from hardware and software upgrades to network security best practices.
I spent just shy of a decade providing law enforcement services to the citizens of Plymouth. My responsibilities ranged from enforcing motor vehicle and criminal laws, Conducting investigations, securing and documenting evidence of criminal activity, and responding to and resolving both emergency and high-stress situations. As a Field Training Officer, it was also my responsibility to Supervise and train new officers and fellow employees in all facets of the law enforcement career. Other duties that I was entrusted in were conducting training in active shooter response, and maintaining department-issued firearms as both the department Glock armorer and rifle armorer.
